Inters & seniors

ATDance senior programme progresses the students through to the higher levels of training. We also offer ballet graduate and performance classes for students attaining a higher level of technique and performance, which is an ‘invitation class’ for highly motivated students.

Some classes are graded examination classes which allow the students to move up when they have taken the appropriate examination whereas others are age dependant. However, it is never too late to have your first dance lesson, so if you are not sure at what level you should start then get in touch to ask our advice.

ATDance Warrington Pointe Classes for teenagers

Pointe

When our students are in Grade 5 ballet, along with a strong technique our teachers will enable them to start our preparation for pointe work programme. This course lasts for one term to prepare the students feet and bodies for the demands of pointe work. We focus on alignment, turnout, flexibility, strengthening exercises along with consideration of any possible problems they may encounter with additional exercises to assist and improve. When the teacher is satisfied that the student has gained a clear understanding of these demands and is ready for her first pair of pointe shoes, then we have an expert pointe shoe fitter who comes to our studios to meet parents and students and fit their first shoes.
