Dance Classes in Warrington

Primary Dance


for age 5 to 6.5 years

  • The children now build on and strengthen their technique in ballet, tap and modern

  • These young dancers learn to perform their skills in small groups and also individually, with and without the teacher demonstrating the movements, which in turn further develops their confidence. 

  • We start to prepare the children for their first ISTD examinations in Modern, Tap and Cecchetti Ballet. 

  • Wednesday 4.00-5.00pm; Fridays 4.45-5.15pm; Saturday 11.10-12.10 & 11.25-12.25

Standard 1 Dance


for age 6-5 to 7.5 years

  • A combined class allows the children to continue to enjoy 3 main styles of dance within the same lesson.

  • Children continue to build on their technique now moving to the next level of examination syllabi; Standard 1 ballet; Grade 1 Modern; Primary into Grade 1 Tap.

  • Wednesdays at 5.00-6.00pm; Fridays 4.45-5.45pm; Saturdays 12.30-1.30pm

Stage School (Musical theatre)


for age 5 -10 years

  • Our magical stage school classes, where they learn to sing, act and dance their hearts out, all in one class

  • Thursday 4.15-5.15pm; Saturday 2.00-3.15pm

Street Dance


for age 6-10 years

  • This energetic style of dance is very popular and accessible for this age group.

  • The dancers take part in a warm-up session followed by a routine to hits from current artists

  • A relaxed class where the children can meet new friends

  • Thursdays 5.30-6.15pm

Contemporary


for age 7-10 years


  • This expressive and creative style of dance combines elements of other dance styles including modern, lyrical and ballet

  • This is also an easily ‘accessible’ style of dance for anyone who has not had any dance training

  • This class complements ballet and modern training

  • Fridays 6.00-7.00 pm

Ballet


for age 8-10 years

  • The Cecchetti  syllabus is a wonderful ballet programme where the young dancers stand at the barre and start to learn French ballet terms.

  • Our teachers are passionate about motivating the children to set their own goals and show their love of dance through performance

  • Grade 1 - Age 8yrs -Wednesdays 6.00-6.30pm; Fridays 4.45-5.15pm; Saturdays 1.30-2.00pm.

  • Standard 2 Age 9-10 years – Wednesdays 7.00-7.30pm; Fridays 6.15-7pm

  • Grade 2 - Age 10-11yrs- Fridays 4.55-5.55pm & 6.15-7pm

Tap


for age 8-10 years

  • Grade 1 age 7.5 to 9 years – Wednesdays 6.30 - 7 pm; Fridays 5.15 - 5.45pm; Saturdays 12.55 - 1.25 pm

  • Grade 2 age 10+ years – Fridays 5.15 - 5.45 pm; Saturdays 9.00 - 9.45 am

Modern


for

age 7.5-10 years

  • This rhythmic dance style is often seen on the stages of musical productions. It’s energetic and combines travelling steps, high kicks, leaps and turns which all need strength and flexibility.

  • Our Acro classes complement this style too.

  • Grade 1 age 7-9 years – Saturdays 12.25 - 12.55 pm

  • Grade 2 age 9-10 years – Fridays 5.45 - 6.15 pm; Saturdays 1.25 - 1.55 pm

Acro (Acrobatic Arts)


for age 5-10 years

  • This programme uses strength and flexibility to perform gymnastic based tricks and is a perfect combination with ballet, modern and contemporary.

  • The classes teach flexibility, balance, strength and coordination. Acrobatic dance is an art, whereas gymnastics is a sport.

  • Tuesday’s age 5-8 years 4.30 - 5.30 pm; age 9-12 years 5.30 - 6.30 pm.
